Danske Bank has today announced that it has agreed a new five year contract with An Post for the continued provision of cash and cheque lodgement services to Danske's corporate and institutional (C&I) clients. Under the agreement Danske C&I clients will utilise An Post's extensive network of post offices across the country to facilitate the lodgement of cash and cheques to their Danske Bank accounts. The agreement, which is underpinned by a specially developed IT solution connecting An Post's retail systems and Danske's market leading financial services IT platform, underlines the Bank's continued commitment to investment in its corporate and institutions client proposition in Ireland.

Barry Manning, Head of Transaction Banking, Danske Bank, said:

"This agreement allows us to continue to provide an important over the counter service to corporate and institutional clients with a cash and cheque requirement. In combining Danske Bank's technology and An Post's network of over 1,100 Post Offices, we have developed a convenient client solution and are looking forward to continuing our partnership with An Post through this long-term contract renewal."
